Dr. Peterson trained at the Nanjing University Hospital of Chinese Medicine in Nanjing, China, and graduated in the year 2000. During his extensive clinical internship in acupuncture and Chinese herbs at Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he specialized in treating patients recovering from stroke, Bell’s Palsy (facial paralysis), and other areas of Internal Medicine, including but not limited to, insomnia, digestive and respiratory disorders, musculoskeletal pain (neck, shoulder, knee, etc.), headaches, sciatica, and several other disorders too numerous to list here. While there he learned many techniques not taught in most acupuncture schools in the United States.
Dr. Peterson is certified by the Florida Board of Acupuncture in Acupoint Injection Therapy and is certified as a Qi Healer/Medical Qigong Practitioner and a Second-Degree Reiki Practitioner. Dr. Peterson is also trained in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture as an alternative to Botox treatments and surgical facelifts.
Dr. Peterson began his graduate work in Counseling Psychology at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and completed it with a Master of Science degree at USAT (University of Science, Arts, and Technology) in Montserrat, BWI, where he also obtained his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery).
